1600 Series Door Closers

Norton Series door closers are non-handed. All closers can be installed Regular Arm, Top Jamb, or Parallel Arm on either right or left hand doors.

These closers have cast aluminum housings and independent valves to control sweep and latch speeds. They are available with optional adjustable backcheck cushioning.

All Norton Series 1600 Door Closers with non-hold-open arms or hold-open arms with fusible-link release feature are listed by Underwriters' Labratories, Inc. for use on labeled fire doors.

1601 Series Door Closers

Door closers combine rugged durability, optimum control swinging doors and a complete range of spring power adjustment. Hydrualic control and spring power adjustments are easily made right at the door.

Together these features help achieve the opening force requirements of the American with Disabilites Act (ADA), ANSI 117.1 National Handicapped Codes, as well as the industry's most demanding preformance criteria, ANSI 156.4 - Grade 1.
